![]() We brought on TriLift for deeper melanated skin types, and those that are not candidates for Optilight. OptiLight is not always right for everyone, but we have options for those that are either photosensitive or have a deeper melanated skin type. This non-invasive/no downtime treatment is focused on improving function of the tear ducts and Meibomian glands as well as cosmesis around the eye area and full face rejuvenation. We prefer to take a global approach due to the eyes and the skin being connected. What is Radio Frequency and how does it work: Radiofrequency treatment uses heat generated by electrical currents and applies it to the inner layer of the skin around your eyes. The heat melts any oily substances that may be blocking the meibomian glands. When this happens, normal activity can be restored, and these glands can begin to secrete oil into your tears. As a positive side effect, the surrounding areas being treated can gain elastin and collagen revealing a more youthful glow What to expect: Your dry eye doctor or laser specialist will apply gel/or glycerin on the treatment area and massage back and forth along the eyelid area. The treatment zone will be treated for ~10-20 minutes and typically 3-4 treatments will be conducted depending on the severity of the patient's dry eye concerns and are spaced out over 2 to 4 weeks. At Cameron Optical we try to take a global approach where eye-care and skincare collide, the skin is the largest organ of the body and when your skin is healthy your eyes are too. Schedule with us to see if TriPolar RF by triLift for dry eye is right for you. *Actual patient photo above.
